The series Interconnections is based on the quote by Rachel Carson: "The balance of nature is built of a series of interrelationships between living things and their environment". I wanted to express her sense of wonder and delight in the natural world by painting on Japanese washi mounted on canvas and adding collage and acrylic paint to suggest growing evolving organic forms.
